Dr Ralf Franke currently heads the Environmental Protection, Health Management and Safety Division in Siemens AG. He holds a medical degree from University Mainz and went on to complete his doctorate, and specialist training for general medicine and occupational medicine. Dr Franke started his career in the military as a German Federal Armed Officer. Before joining Siemens AG in 2009, Dr Franke held executive positions in MTU Aero Engines GmbH and Daimler AG, overseeing occupational health and safety. He currently also serves in various capacities including the Committee for Occupational Medicine, as well as Occupational Safety, of the German Employer Association (BDA), the Association of German Company Doctors (VDBW), German Society for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (DGAUM), Board of Munich University Society and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SBK (Siemens Health Insurance).
