International

International Association of Labour Inspection

Established in 1972, the International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI) is the global professional association for labour inspection. With over 100 member organisations worldwide, it is dedicated to advancing humanity and dignity in the field of labour.

An independent association without political and religious ties, IALI’s sole task is to help working people in the field of health and safety all over the world. It does so by facilitating for the exchange of information and experience in the field of labour inspection and related areas, and by sharing expertise with developing countries on human labour conditions, labour inspection, preventive labour protection and risks arising from new production procedures and technologies.

IALI engages in a wide range of activities focused on working conditions and occupational safety and health topics and other concerns to labour inspectors, such as illegal employment and child labour. It holds conferences worldwide and in recent years, sponsored events in countries such as Costa Rica, Bulgaria, China, and Germany, often jointly with host countries and the International Labour Office.

International Social Security Association

The International Social Security Association (ISSA) brings together prevention experts from its over 330 member institutions in more than 160 countries, including accident insurance institutions, occupational safety and health institutes and associations, and ministries of labour and their labour inspectorates.

The ISSA offers a global platform and a unique network for all those in social security concerned with safeguarding the safety, health and well-being of workers. Through its 14 international prevention sections, it encompasses a range of industries and horizontal issues, and promotes the Vision Zero strategy.

Among these sections is the International Section of the ISSA on Prevention in Trade, Goods Logistics and Port Handling (ISSA Trade). Established in 2019 as the 14th International Section of ISSA's Special Commission on Prevention and located at the Statutory Social Accident Insurance of Trade and Goods Logistics (BGHW) in Germany, ISSA Trade is chaired by Mr Ho Siong Hin from the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore. The Section is committed to advancing Vision Zero by integrating safety, health and well-being as key business imperatives across global supply chains. Its overarching goal is to create socially sustainable supply chains while highlighting the importance of prevention throughout an employee's working life.

Bedok Safety Group

Bedok Safety Group (BSG) was established in 1985 with the primary purpose of providing work skills training for the new industries which were being set up in Singapore then. Initially focused on the metalworking industry, BSG has grown to include companies from various sectors, namely aerospace, logistics, and semiconductors. The Container Depot and Logistics Association (Singapore) (CDAS) is an industry trade association that represents the container depot operators and associated container logistics service providers (i.e. transport operators) in Singapore. Environmental Management Association of Singapore

The Environmental Management Association of Singapore (EMAS) was first established in 1986 by service providers from contract cleaning, waste management and pest control industries. Health Promotion Board

The Health Promotion Board (HPB) was established as a statutory board under the Ministry of Health, Singapore, in 2001 with the vision of building “A Nation of Healthy People”. The Housing & Development Board (HDB) is Singapore's public housing authority, responsible for planning and developing housing estates, building homes, and transforming towns for quality living. Institute of Technical Education

The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) was established as a post-secondary institution in 1992, under the Ministry of Education. International Powered Access Federation

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996 with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre, and to advance and safeguard Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. Occupational and Environmental Health Society

The Occupational and Environmental Health Society (OEHS), established in 2000, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of occupational and environmental health in Singapore. PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency

The Public Utilities Board (PUB) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE). It is the national water agency which manages Singapore’s water supply, water catchment, and used water in an integrated way. From April 2020, PUB also took on the responsibility of protecting Singapore’s coastline from sea-level rise as the national coastal protection agency.     PUB has ensured a diversified and sustainable supply of water for Singapore with the Four National Taps (local catchment water, imported water, NEWater, desalinated water). PUB leads and coordinates whole-of-government efforts to protect Singapore from the threat of rising seas and the holistic management of inland and coastal flood risks.      PUB calls on everyone to play a part in conserving water, in keeping our waterways clean, and in caring for Singapore’s precious water resources. Singapore Chemical Industry Council

The Singapore Chemical Industry Council Limited (SCIC) is the official industry association representing the Singapore Energy and Chemicals cluster in the private sector. Society of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries

Since its inception in 1990 and registration under the Societies Act with effect from 5 March 1991, the Society of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries (SLP), a non-profit organisation, has been in the forefront of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) focus in the Process Industries.
